OFFTRACK Calendar
The OFFTRACK calendar consists of 365 pages, resembling the concept of continuously counting from the Julian calendar. The Julian calendar continuously counts the year from 45 B.C.E. while then counting out the days of the year in cronological order. OFFTRACK begins the year with “one” and counts cronologically all the way to “three-hundred and sixty-five”. The title alludes to this idea of being unaware of the month or time of year. Color is used to assist in the suggestion of the passage of time as the calendar transitions from a yellow background to dark blue. The box contains a block of 365 pages, one for each day with double sided adhesive to be easily mounted and replaced everyday. This project displays hand lettering at an exploratory angle while exploring the ways in which three dimensional typography is not meant to be seen.
