VALENTINE’S DOODLES
Back in January of 2021, I took an online Dynamic Lettering course with Ken Barber.
I learned what a cartouche was, and being it was a few weeks before Valentine’s Day,
the class chose to explore the typical “heart” route. It led me to a place where I was
excited and scared because I was breaking all of the rules of typography that I had just
started to understand with gooey-freeform type. Organically, this has turned into an
annual Valentine’s Day-related personal project.
2022 RESOLUTIONS
Noticing a trend in clean, outlined, vector motion of 2021, I decided I would start 2022
using this trend along with a grid system, to explore movement of typography.
